SIP CALCULATOR — MUTUAL FUND RETURNS
SIP Calculator — Estimate the Future Value of Your Investments
A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) allows you to invest a fixed amount in mutual funds every month, building wealth through the power of compounding. Our SIP Calculator shows you exactly how your monthly investment grows over time — the total corpus, estimated returns, and year-by-year growth chart.
What is a SIP?

A SIP is a method of investing a fixed amount regularly in mutual funds — usually every month. Instead of trying to time the market, you invest consistently regardless of market conditions. Over time, this averages out your purchase cost (rupee cost averaging) and lets compounding work in your favour.

The SIP formula is: FV = P × [((1+r)^n - 1) / r] × (1+r), where P is the monthly investment, r is the monthly rate, and n is the number of months.

Example: ₹50,000 SIP at 12% for 10 Years
Monthly SIP: ₹50,000 | Duration: 10 years | Return: 12% p.a.
Total Invested: ₹60,00,000
Estimated Value: ~₹1,16,17,000
Estimated Returns: ~₹56,17,000
Why 12% Return Assumption?

Long-term historical returns of diversified equity mutual funds in India have been in the 10–14% range. 12% is commonly used as a middle-ground estimate. Actual returns will vary based on market conditions, fund selection, and investment period. This calculator assumes a constant annual return — real returns are non-linear.

Power of Starting Early

A ₹10,000 SIP started at age 25 for 35 years at 12% grows to approximately ₹6.5 crore. The same SIP started at 35 for 25 years grows to only ₹1.9 crore. Starting 10 years earlier can multiply your corpus by more than 3x — that is the power of compounding over time.
